Tram Evans North Star Foundation Partners with Liberty Bay Recovery to Expand Access to Alcohol Treatment Services

New partnership provides financial support for uninsured and underinsured individuals seeking alcohol detox and rehabilitation

Tram Evans North Star Foundation (TENS Foundation) today announced a groundbreaking partnership with Liberty Bay Recovery, a leading alcohol detox and rehabilitation center in Portland, Maine. This collaboration aims to eliminate financial barriers that prevent individuals with Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) from accessing life-saving treatment services.

The partnership addresses a critical gap in the treatment landscape by providing financial support to individuals who are uninsured, unable to meet insurance deductibles, or facing insurance coverage cutoffs. Through this initiative, the TENS Foundation will help cover treatment costs for qualifying patients, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent anyone from pursuing recovery.

"Too many people struggling with alcohol use disorder are unable to access the treatment they desperately need due to financial barriers," said Charlie Evans, President of the TENS Foundation. "This partnership with Liberty Bay Recovery represents a significant step forward in our mission to help those affected by AUD get sober safely, regardless of their financial circumstances."

As part of the agreement, the TENS Foundation has successfully negotiated the best rates possible with Liberty Bay Recovery, maximizing the impact of the foundation's financial assistance and enabling support for a greater number of individuals seeking recovery.

Liberty Bay Recovery, known for its comprehensive approach to alcohol treatment and rehabilitation, offers medically supervised detoxification services and evidence-based treatment programs designed to support long-term recovery outcomes.

"We are honored to partner with the TENS Foundation in this vital mission," said Adam Tarr, Business Development Manager at Liberty Bay Recovery. "This collaboration allows us to extend our services to individuals who might otherwise go without the treatment they need. Together, we're removing barriers and saving lives."

The partnership launches immediately, with eligible individuals able to apply directly through Liberty Bay Recovery and immediately access treatment. Those interested in learning more about available support should contact Liberty Bay Recovery at 603-818-1598.
